Raven F/W 2012 Women's Lookbook
Raven is not disappointing my high expectations for their F/W 12 collection, very much the contrary! What I have come to expect of this brand, which is outstanding for its well done and perfectly "tailored" jeans, just got better for this coming fall and winter.
Why do I say tailored jeans? Quite easy, because here is how I feel about them. They don't feel like jeans manufactured en masse in China, Italy or even LA, they feel like as if each and every single pair was custom made, kind of Haute Couture without the haute pricetag. Full of well executed details, every single button chosen with care and every pleat, crease or seam done exactly where it should be and how it should be.
New here are the fabrics, coated and metallic, herringbone and discreetly printed denim. All done in muted colors, perfectly fitting the image that we have of Raven.
And below, you can see the 3 key pieces of Raven's collaboration with Stephen Burrows which debuted for this F/W 12 collection during Fashion Week last February.

True Religion F/W 2012 Men's Lookbook
I could never quite understand why lots of brands that do women's and men's jeans almost always seem to favor their men's. I absolutely feel this way about the True Religion fall 12 lookbook. Just check out those marvelous jeans above, full of different washes and hues, dirtied and quite destroyed, but sexy and oh so well fitting. Same goes for the jeans shown below.
I am not saying that their women's collection does not rock, I just feel that - compared to the men's - it definitely lacks the details.

TopShop is one of the few companies who market pants as pants and jeans as jeans. They don't blur the lines with Twill as denim like other brands. After hunting feverishly for these pants, I found them in the pants section.... but after spending that much time on finding them, I just HAD to include them on the site.
