1) Suddenly it seems like celebs everywhere are inseparable from their J Brand Jeans, have you brainwashed them?
- SC) Actually, yes we have been training for years to be this effective our first attempt was the keyboard tie in the eighties. We got close,but, nothing like these results.
JR) Possibly buttwashed.
2) Which style and wash of J Brand Jeans are flying out of the shops the quickest at the moment?
- SC) The 912 12 Inch Pencil Leg in the new favorite colors of the moment - Gingerbread, Charcoal and the Jett (black w/black stitching).
JR) And the dark indigo Ink is still #1 in the 12" pencil leg.
3) If I buy my girlfriend a pair of your jeans will she look like Angelina Jolie?
- SC) Yes, and you will look like Brad Pitt.
JR) Not guaranteed, although you will worship her more and your relationship will flourish... all from a pair of jeans.
4) Can you tell us any juicy details about the Men's Collection which is due shortly?
- SC) The shirts are not to be missed. Look closely for the subtle details.
JR) The rocker jean is called Mick and the boot cut Clint, and they are the coolest Men’s jeans. Shall I say more?
5) What are the first pair of jeans you remember?
- SC) My mom’s Levi’s she used to wear working in the garden. She called them dungarees, she is from North Carolina.
JR) Levis 501’s.
6) What have been your favourite pair of jeans that you have owned?
- SC) A pair of Levi’s 517’s that I doctored to fit perfectly. Made that much cooler because I got them at Sears.
JR) Now that I own a pair of Mick’s, it would have to be my Mick’s.
7) What have been your favourite pair of jeans that you have produced?
- SC) The second sample we made I still have and I still wear. I was wearing them when I met Jen Rade, Angelina’s stylist and she loved them, the rest is denim history.
JR) I rest my case.
8) How many pairs of jeans do you currently own and which are your favourites?
- SC) I have about 23, all J Brand, my favs are my 12 inch Ink, 10 inch Jett,
And one of the first cuts a 20 inch flare in dark vintage that I wear with flip flops.
JR) About 12 and my favorite is a special limited edition jean made in Italy for Levi’s premium which is a black leather very low slim straight leg jean with off white stitching. Makes me feel like a rock star when I wear them
9) Are you a "wash your jeans after each wear" person or a "wear your jeans for six months before you wash them" person?
- SC) It depends on the jean. Rigid: 6 months then wash. Stretch 5 wears:1 wash.
JR) I like to keep them dark so I wear my jeans for a while before I wash them.
10) Who is your current favourite denim icon (male & female). I am thinking the person who has the most denim style?
- SC) Kate Moss and Orlando Bloom.
JR) Kate Moss for sure.
11) Which character (male & female) from a movie had the most denim style?
- SC) Paul Newman in HUD. Ali McGraw in anything she ever wore jeans in.
JR) Ditto- my partner knows her stuff.
12) Which person living or dead would you most like to see in a pair of J Brand Jeans?
- SC) Larry Mullen, Jnr. And Stella Mcartney
JR) Mick Jagger.
13) If denim jeans had not been invented, what would we all be wearing?
- SC) I can’t even think about that.
JR) ????????????
14) And finally, any predictions for future trends in denim jeans?
- SC) I will never tell.
JR) Ditto- my partner is also smart.
