Levi's Eco "Green" Jeans

Levi's have released details of their forthcoming Eco environmentally friendly jeans. The cotton is organic and will come from Turkey, the jeans themselves will also be manufactured in Turkey to cut down on transportation costs. Other details include a coconut shell button, no metal rivets, natural dye and a recycled cardboard label. All of this treehugging stuff doesn't come cheap, the jeans will cost in the region of $250 in the US and £140 in the UK, although there are plans to release cheaper versions eventually. You can call me an old cynic but I think Levi's probably care more about their bottom line than the environment and the launch of these jeans probably has more to do with the current fashion for all things organic rather than any real corporate desire to save the planet.

April77 Tribute Gibson Jeans

April 77 are about to launch a special edition pair of April 77 Gibson Jeans which are made in conjunction with that great old rock n roll brand Gibson Guitars. There are only 500 unique pairs of these jeans which come in their own guitar case and they will be sold in 3 different locations (London, Paris & Tokyo).

Celebrity Denim - Jessica Biel

In case you are not quite sure who Jessica Biel is, she was the hot chick in the cowboy hat in the remake of The Texas Chainaw Massacre. She has also been in a bunch of forgettable movies like Stealth, Eliabethtown and London. However let's not hold that against her. Here she is looking quite demure for a Hollywood starlet in a pair of Paper Denim Stretch Flare Jeans.

Sienna Miller's High Waisted Jeans

Although many people consider Sienna Miller to be a fashion icon I must admit that I just can't see it. She always gives me the impression of someone that got dressed in the dark... in the 80s. Here is a photo of her out last week in Beverly Hills, it seems like she is currently following Kate Moss' example by giving the high-waisted jeans look a try. If I was her I would leave these jeans in the dressing up box next time.

Justin Timberlake's William Rast Denim

Justin Timberlake and his buddy/business partner Trace Ayala have just shown their Spring/Summer 07 William Rast Denim Collection as part of L.A. Fashion Week. Normally I would say that the last thing anyone needs right now is another celebrity endorsed denim line especially one by a someone as eminently punchable as Timberlake. But I have to hand it to them, from the look of the photos the jeans look pretty respectable. Apparently the theme of the catwalk show was the classic 80s Brat Pack flick The Outsiders which at least shows that the guys know a thing or two about iconic denim movies. And when you have a girlfriend like Cameron Diaz squeezing her perfect behind into the jeans it's hard to see how they can fail.
