Invisible Inc British Raw Denim

When it comes to denim you think of USA first and foremost, then maybe Sweden, Italy and Japan. Britain doesn't even get a mention because we haven't got much a denim heritage to speak of. One company that is hoping to prove that we Brits can produce decent denim is Invisible Inc of Newcastle. Their jeans are made from 13.5 Oz ring spun Japanese selvedge denim, come in skinny, straight and loose fits and are good enough to compete with the likes of Nudie, APC and Earnest Sewn for wardrobe space. If you would like to get your hands on a pair then you will need to pay a visit to Selfridges in London.

Evisu Fall/Winter 2007 Show in New York

Evisu held their Fall/Winter Show in New York recently and clearly demonstrated their continuing expansion from denim into ready to wear and couture. Apparently this collection was "inspired by twentieth century Japan, and the merging of the East and the West". Unlike other companies who tried something similar at Fashion Week, Evisu proved that they really have what it takes to turn a denim brand into a lifestyle brand.

Cameron Diaz may have split up with Justin Timberlake but she is still quite partial to his jeans. These photos taken last week show her leaving the gym wearing a pair of Justin's William Rast Straight Leg jeans.

New Balance x Yoropiko Denim Project

The New Balance x Yoropiko "Hungry Dragon" Limited 574 Project is yet another denim collaboration from Marin Ksohoh, designer of RMC. This time he is releasing an extremely limited edition set of trainers, jeans and denim jacket which will leave your wallet $2,300 lighter. The jeans come with an eye catching dragon design embroidered on the back that apparently took 16 hours to complete. (Source: HighSnobiety)

Earnest Sewn @ New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week wasn't just all about the clothes shown on the catwalk, there were also the clothes being worn by the celebs in the audience. Earnest Sewn managed to notch up quite a few celebrity scalps during the week including Ashely Olsen who attended the Jenni Kayne show wearing slim tapered Harlan 18 jeans with a fur vest, Julianne Moore who wore some tapered leg faded grey jeans and Drea de Matteo (of The Sopranos) who wore Decca 06 straight leg jeans.

Victoria Beckham In Siwy Jeans - Feb 15th

Victoria Beckham might have just announced the launch of her new DVB Denim label but that hasn't stopped her showing some love for another rival brand. Today she was seen wearing a pair of Siwy Hannah Slimcrop Jeans in Rain Wash whilst out house-hunting in LA.
