Carmen Electra @ Rock & Republic Show

Carmen Electra attended the Rock & Republic Fall/Winter Show in New York wearing... what else but a pair of skinny Rock & Republic jeans. Apparently attending fashion shows can be quite a lucrative business for celebs, the New York Post claims that Carmen (and other famous types) may have been paid somewhere between £5,000 - $15,000 to attend a similar show by R&R last year. Nice work if you can get it.

Rock & Republic Fall/Winter 2007 Show in NY

Rock & Republic's New York Fashion Week Catwalk Show was held at Cipriani on 42nd Street and apparently cost them $2.5million. For that amount of money they must be counting on shifting a lot of product. These days Rock & Republic is rapidly trying to establish itself as a lifestyle brand complete with a full collection of clothing and accessories. The show reflected this as where previously the emphasis was on denim now it was expanded to include animal prints, leather, fake fur and lots shiny metallic materials - all of it skin tight.

Ashley Olsen in Flares

2007 is supposed to be the year that low-rise jeans gave way to high-waisted ones, and skinny jeans were replaced by their wider-legged counterparts. Here she is leaving a friend's house last week in a faded pair of boot-covering, ground skimming flares.

Rag & Bone Fall/Winter 2007 Show in New York

sa1.jpg
Rag & Bone started off making jeans but their show at New York Fashion week is another example of how denim brands use jeans as their springboard to becoming proper clothing brands. There weren't too many jeans to be seen in this show, but what there was looked cool, classy and quite shiny indeed. The show was attended by Sienna Miller who all is over the media at the moment thanks to her new movie Factory Girl which premiered in New York this week.
