Cheap Monday ushers in the unpolished side of denim in its Spring/Summer 09 lookbook, where the story is somber and the look is grunge. For girls, CM's signature skinny jeans come ripped and in muted brights. A subtle version of generic 80s acid wash finds context as a defiant loose-fit men's jean, and slouchy styles for both sexes are made purposely more awkward rolled up above the ankle (but below the calf) a la the post-punk, derelict air of Dexys Midnight Runners.
