Teenager Shot Over Saggy Jeans

I don't know about you, but for me the No1 denim crime for men is wearing your jeans so low down that they are exposing your underwear. So I have to admit it did raise a smile when I read this story about a 45 year Memphis man who actually shot a teenager in the buttocks for wearing his jeans too low. This certainly brings a new meaning to the phrase "denim crime".

I can't understand why anyone would WANT to run around with their panties hanging out. I remember going to a club once and a girl had her thong deliberately showing paired with her low-rise jeans. But you could see a stain on the skinny strip near her waist line in the back. It was SO gross.

I was at a red hot chilli peppers gig once and saw something very similar, except it involved a dude, some saggy jeans and some rather discoloured y-fronts. If you are gonna rock the saggy jeans look the least you gotta do is make sure your underwear is clean.

I am in agreement with Think First and Lilba.

Everyone has the right to wear clothes the way they want to. There are millions of things I see each day that I personally think look rubbish, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it is what pushes fashion forward, and makes the world so interesting. Imagine how dull life would be if we all looked the same...

I agree with you too but there is something about that saggy jeans/exposed underwear look that just brings out the Charles Bronson in me!

Agreed, Lilba. This is shooting someone over fashion. I don't agree with a lot of the taste exhibited on the pages of Denimology, but I wouldn't laugh if AndyK were shot for these lapses.

I think Andy was laughing at the scenario that someone would be so peeved by the baring of boxers that they would shoot someone. It is kind of funny... in a Mommie Dearest sort of way.

This boy was shot simply for wearing his jeans in a manner deemed "inappropriate" by some stranger. I don't see how this is amusing in any shape or form. What an overreaction on that man's part. Imagine getting shot just because you had a muffin top that day.

I'm 195 cm height. there are no jeans for me.. u can always see my underwear.. when I try to rised my pants they getting low even when im using belt, my size is 36 and im to big for 34.. and I love my nudie, evisu and 7fam as hell ;-)
