Ania Style - Genetic Denim Bell Bottom Jeans

Growing up in Poland I was surrounded by denim. My parents owned a chain of clothing stores in the city where I come from, generating traffic from all over Poland as well as the neighbouring Germany. Quality was always the most important aspect of a pair of jeans. These were different times. Premium, high-end denim was not a concept widely used, if used at all. The thicker the jeans the better and Wrangler and Levi's were the jeans of the day. Regardless of style or brand, the lessons from childhood still stick. When I buy a pair of jeans that cost be anywhere in the $200+ price range I expect them to last me at least a couple of seasons (or a couple of weight loss/gain cycles).

This pair of Genetic Denim Adriane Mid Rise Quilted Bell Jeans in Seafoam, a brand new to my repertoire of jean brands fits the bill quite well. The fabric itself is fantastic, it feels like jeans should (and it smells that way too... yes I checked). The seafoam wash is reminiscent of a classic jean. And the bell bottom! I have to be honest here, I don't think I am fooling anyone by claiming these were long enough to fit the way I would have liked them to, let's just have it in the open so nobody thinks I'm trying to conceal this. I am unfortunate in this respect, blessed in some ways because of my long legs, cursed in others. It has always been my dream to be able to wear a pair of bell bottoms dead over my heels, Rachel Zoe style. I don't think anything beats that look. I have to sit this one out. Such a shame because these would have been the perfect start.

Length out of the way let's focus on the details. At 26 they run true to size. The quilted belt is a nice touch. I personally don't wear belts with my jeans so this extra detail acts as the perfect alternate. Not to mention the added comfort of hugging your hips perfectly sans any embarrassing overflowage (if you know what I mean). The only problem I have with this particular pair are the small front pockets. Not only are they an awkward size, but they are dyed a darker colour. I know I am not only speaking for myself when I say that the thighs are a common problem area that many girls worry about drawing attention to. Sometimes less is more, and most definitely in this particular case.

The Genetic Denim Adriane Mid Rise Quilted Bell Jeans in Seafoam reviewed here are available online for $209 from Singer22.com.
