Mad Style - Paige Lou Lou Tulip Jean

It's finally February! I can't believe how fast everything has gone by, however I can't say I'm all too disappointed to welcome Spring and Summer. Sunny months with no school and no worries seem just about perfect right now, and with all that simplicity and ease of the months ahead filling my thoughts I can't help but love these classic Lou Lou Tulip Jeans by Paige.

They're clean, comfortable, and flattering, exactly what I'll be after this summer when I want easy, wearable denim that can make it through to the evening. They've got a classic rise and are perfectly snug at the waist, fitting true to size. They hug the legs all the way down to the knees where they begin to flare out - not to an extreme bell but a flattering curve just towards the ankles. The denim is soft but resilient, after a full day of wear they kept their shape perfectly. The wash is dark blue with subtle fading at the thighs, and I loved them with this slouchy knit sweater, but they looked great with a crop top as well, and due to the well fitting waist band there were no love handles to worry about!

The only complaint I have is that I can't wear these with high heels. The shape of the jeans looks great with a pair of pumps (my sister tried them on and was able to wear them with with her heels, she's 5'3) but they were too short on me so I stuck with some low boots. So, if you're a bit on the taller side or have long legs, just know your sky high heels won't be wearable.

Other than this I really love these jeans. You can curl up on the couch, run errands, stop by a friends, go to the movies or run out to lunch and know that these jeans will always look great. Although they aren't exactly "night out" pants they certainly can be dressed up for more formal occasions, paired with a cute pair of flats a colourful blouse and a statement necklace I think you'd be set for a dinner date. Paige is known for their impeccable fit and these jeans are no exception.

Which colour are the ones you reviewed? I noticed from the Paige website that there are different lengths depending on what colour you get. How many inches were the inside seam as I'm keen to be able to wear them with flats and don't want to have to get them taken up (I'm 5'7). thanks

I personally own these jeans and let me say they are AMAZING! They work on ALL BODY TYPES which is magical for a pair of jeans (I know, Ive worked in a denim boutique for a while). They also more versatile than one may originally believe. Clean and classic, they can be styled in a rather badass way when tucked into a pair of snazzy docs. They are my second favorite pair of jeans after the 7FAM vintage bell bottoms that were just reviewed (yet another magical pair jeans).
