Ania Style - AG Adriano Goldschmied Tomboy Jeans
When I think back to the way I used to dress I blush from embarrassment. Thanks mum for never bailing me out, I mean where are your parents when you need them the most. I once rocked a pair of laced, suede bell bottoms (in fact I did my first photoshoot in them, nobody said anything, but now I'm starting to suspect that was out of pity... or 1999). Another time I wore a pair of velvet bell bottoms with a numbered baby tee... to our junior high FASHION SHOW!!!! Argh!... and it got kind of worst in High School. I really got into experimenting, when other girls started wearing leg warmers because I wore them I thought it was cool. Truly we were all equally clueless.
This pair of AG Adriano Goldshmied Tomboy Jeans in 10 Year reminded me a little of those said times. Maybe it's because I'm getting older (and wiser), and maybe it's because Katie Holmes rocks these jeans extremely, but I now see their potential. This is a very professional, clean looking, very put together jean, wouldn't you agree? At size 26 they run a little small, you definitely don't want your 'boyfriend' jeans looking too tight. I would suggest going a size up anyway. The wash is called "10-year", however they certainly look a lot better than any jeans I have had in my wardrobe for 10 years, which is an ideal situation. This is a special laundry technique AG developed to produce jeans that mimic the vintage look. The detail on the pocket is standard on any pair of jean these days, they are defiantly not plain. The most essential part of this pair is the cuff. Because they are straight legged I would like to see the cuff come up a little higher, otherwise you risk cutting off and visually shortening your legs. This, however, is easily adjustable, but still important to keep in mind.
For those of you are are environmentally conscious AG might spark a particular interest as they are also moving in the green direction, producing their denim with Ozone Technology, reducing consumption of water, chemicals and energy, maintaining the feel and fit of their premium brand at the same time. All this and they are from California, what more could you ask for.
The AG Adriano Goldschmied Tomboy Jeans reviewed here are available online from Singer22.com for $235.
