Jessie Style: Marc Allison Jeans Denim Omni Hoodie

After meeting the charming couple at Coterie, I was recently sent a denim hoodie by Marc & Allison of Marc Allison Jeans to try out. At first I was slightly bummed because I thought that all of our chilly weather was gone for the year but then I was given one last day time cold snap in which to model this piece for you.

I don't really do reviews because I don't feel very confident showing the Denimology reading public what I look like in all my curviness. But after trying out this denim hoodie fom MAJ I knew I had to make an exception. I am a huge fan of fashionable frump. Fashionable frump is in my opinion clothing you can wear while looking stylish yet feeling comfortable at the same time. The majority of my wardrobe consists of these kind of clothes: Slinky tees, leggings and sweats. Then insert this Marc Allison Jeans Denim Omni Hoodie.

The hoodie is made in the city of angels, Los Angeles. The outside of the hoodie, the denim part is crafted of 72% Supima Cotton and 27% Elestrell while the trim and interior are 100% cotton. It is designed with a perfectly broken in denim on the outside and the cozy cotton lining. The hoodie can be paired with sweats or layered over your favorite jeans for a great double denim look. I mean, you can wear it in place of a denim jacket or a hoodie but before now, I never had a denim jacket I could wear with sweats or a hoodie I thought was just perfect over a maxi dress... that is until now.

The details are what give this hoodie it's edge. The convenient little thump holes on the sleeve trim doubles as a fingerless glove. I wish I would have had this while I was in NYC for fashion week because taking your gloves off and on all the time to use your phone is a pain in the ass. The MAJ logo is beautiful. It stands out enough for you to know who makes this piece of denim but it's not glaring and in your face. I think it's a chic logo. Lastly, the stitching. I am a thread snob. I like nice stitching on my denim. I think that can almost single-handedly ruin jeans. Luckily for MAJ they use only high quality denim and superb craftsmanship in their denim pieces.
