DKNY Jeans F/W 2011 Ad Campaign

I always try to look for the positive in anything, so I am going to begin by saying that I really like the patched jeans above left. However, other than that I am afraid this ad campaign for DKNY Jeans Fall/Winter 2011 Collection leaves me rather cold. The overall impression I get from looking at these ads is deja-vu. We have seen the jeans, the models (how many different denim campaigns has Jon Kortajarena done) and even the props (a motorbike) in a few too many other ad campaigns before.

That Hat Lady

I think the patched jeans are in questionable taste, but the ad itself is not. There's comfort in familiarity, and everyone can relate to the models, the motorcycle and hanging out together. They're beautiful. It's nice not to see an ad with a transgender spin or something ugly and shocking.
