Jen Style - Siwy Daphne in Horoscope

Hey rock stars! I hope everyone is breaking out their fall wardrobe essentials because fall is finally upon us! Yay!! I honestly think fall is my fave season for fashion - the weather is cool (not humid and not freezing), and out comes the corduroy pants, chunky knits, tweed blazers, and plaid tops - oh, and how can I forget to mention the must have JEANS!

If you've been following my denim reviews, then you're quite aware of my bell-bottom and wide-leg jean obsession. When I received these Siwy Daphne High Waisted Wide Leg Jean in Horoscope I was smitten --even before I tried them on!

The pin tucked pleating is so rad; it gives them a unique look and separates them from other wide leg jeans out there. The higher rise and side zipper is another plus in my book. I prefer higher rise jeans, perhaps it's because I'm getting older?? I just love the look of a silk blouse tucked into a higher rise jean... it's so chic and classic.

The wide-leg is perfect. It falls straight from the hips without making me look too wide. The inseam is 35" - -perfect for a 5/10 girl like myself. I have long legs, but these jeans will easily give any girl mile long gams (and what girl doesn't want that?)!

The wash is a nice medium-blue with subtle fading down the thigh to the knee. I love the wash. I think it's a perfect hue and gives the jean a vintage look (and we know how much I love vintage). I also think that the back pockets are placed in a flattering manner. They aren't too high or too low. I think they would give any girl a nice looking tush.

This is only my second pair of Siwy jeans that I've had the pleasure of reviewing (see my previous Siwy review HERE), and so far Siwy jeans have been true to size for me. I wear a size 27 and I felt that these jeans were quite comfortable. Not too tight, not too loose, just perfect. They are made of 98% cotton and 2% elastan, so they have just enough give to them.

I have to say, out of all the bell-bottom and wide-leg jeans I've reviewed thus far (see my previous reviews HERE, HERE, HERE, & HERE), this pair is one of my faves!

Sorry Jennifer, but high rise jeans make your rear asset look huge. Just my opinion.

Ha, it's OK... I actually do have a behind bigger than most girls... but I'm totally OK with it... I'd rather have a butt than no butt at all. :)
