Denim Icon Of 2011 - Pippa's Ass

It's that time of the year where we here at Denimology put our heads together and decide who we think has been the Denim Icon Of The Year. This year's Denim Icon was a very hard choice. We hummed and hawed for a few days. We quarrelled (just a bit) and then Andy came to a realisation, we really only had one stand out this year and it certainly wasn't the person in the jeans but just her main Asset.

In previous years the denim icon selected has ~~always~~ almost always been a celebrity - past winners have included Rihanna (2009), Katie Holmes (2008) and Kate Moss (2006) except for last year when the celebrity world found it had some competition as 2010. Regular people (that are exceptionally beautiful, thin and stylish) made their own style statements online and the world started taking notice. 2010 was the year of the style blogger.

Our Denim Icon Of 2011 as chosen by the Denimology crew is not Pippa Middleton, but just Pippa's ass.

If you would like to do some research the same way I have done, we suggest you start here. Pippa's Ass has many fan pages and appreciation societies (see here, here, and here) and that just scratches the top of the barrel. Pippa's ass made headlines with the Daily Mail and it didn't even have to be in denim. I know, I know... it shocked us too!

I agree, the media went nutz for her behind however if you check our denim duel section (http://www.denimology.com/deni... ) she is not even voted in the Top 20. She gets to be denim icon more the column inches she generated rather than the quality of her butt.
