Agave Denim Gets Athletic with Portland Timbers

Recently Agave Denim teamed up with their friends from the top MLS players over at the Portland Timbers soccer team to shoot collection images for Fall 2012 as part of their 10 year Anniversary celebrations. The shoot features Portland Timbers stars Darlington Nagbe, Sal Zizzo and Eric Brunner in an athletic photo shoot and shows the incredible fit and technical performance of Agave's denim collection.

Agave Denim Calls Up Portland Timbers Stars

For Fall 2012 Photo-Shoot Friendly 
Portland, OR, Aug 2012 - Agave Denim,"Portland's Denim Company", teamed up with members of the Portland Timbers soccer team at a downtown studio to shoot campaign and collection images for Fall 2012 release. The shoot was produced and styled by Agave denim designer/owners Jeff and Lauren Shafer and shot by the talented, Portland photographer Brian Walker Lee.
Agave designer/owners Jeff and Lauren Shafer, who are both as passionate about the Timbers almost as much as they are about denim, came up with the idea for the shoot when they were looking for real people, not professional models, to shoot for a seasonal campaign showcasing its sought after stretch denim fabrics. Ever since the couple moved their family to the area six years ago, they have become avid fans of the Timbers, following all games with their two teenage sons as season ticket holders. The admiration was mutual and when the Shafer's found out several years ago that the Timbers management were fans of Agave jeans too they were both honored and thrilled to partner. The personal relationship between Jeff and the Timber's COO, Mike Golub, the 2011 MLS Executive of the year, has grown over the years and led to Agave company trips to JELD-WEN Field as guests of the Timbers and visits by the Timbers to Shafer's design studio to get fitted in the latest from Agave's denim collection. So as soon as the photo-shoot idea came to mind, Shafer called on the Timbers to take part in the shoot and they committed to having three of their top players available for the Agave project.
The Timbers players who signed up for shoot day included midfielder Sal Zizzo # 5, defender Eric Brunner # 7, and midfielder superstar Darlington Nagbe #6. The players arrived early at Studio Nemo in downtown Portland and spent the whole day sharing stories, hanging out & enjoying themselves with the Shafer's.
