Elena Style - 7 For All Mankind Burgundy Velvet Jeans

Holiday spirit is definitely in the air and of course in our wardrobes. Stores, full of sparkles, metallics and plush fabrics, beckon us to look fabulous and festive not only for celebrations but for every day as well! 7 For All Mankind Skinny in Burgundy Velvet with Black Foil Brocade is one of those pieces that give you that holiday feeling even on a typical day.

This pair of pants is absolutely gorgeous and feels quite lavish; indeed nothing says "luxury" better than the combination of soft velvet, metallic brocade print and deep rich burgundy color. The wine-red shade is succulent and vibrant and works beautifully with the lush sheen of the fabric. The black foil is not harsh and appears almost like dark merlot working cohesively with the background.

I always say that I love the 7 FAM skinny fit and this is no exception. With a slim leg from top to bottom and a quite narrow 10" leg opening this silhouette is very flattering which is especially important considering the tricky nature of velvet/velour fabrics. Shorter 30.5" inseam visually elongates your body and also keeps the look clean and simple to showcase the print.

I have already mentioned a few times that this fabric is really beautiful and soft. Unlike some with a very dry "hand" this velvet feels super plush and is very pleasant to wear. It is also pretty stretchy (71% cotton/ 27% rayon/ 2% spandex) and such elasticity gives you plenty of freedom to wear your pants pretty tight without compromising your comfort. By the way, the waist band on my pair seemed pretty stiff the first time I put it on but after 15 min of walking around it softened up and adjusted exactly to the shape of my body. Now it is absolutely perfect ☺. With that said this fabric does mold to your shape but doesn't lose its own - I've already worn these pants a few times and they have kept their shape just great.
