Ashley Tisdale In M2F Denim Shorts

20120207000021.jpg

Ashely Tisdale is rarely to be seen without a pair of denim shorts on these days. And can you blame her? If I had legs like that I don't think I would covering them up either, although if I had had legs like that it would look a bit weird, but anyway you get my point. The shorts she was snapped wearing in LA this week were a gorgeous peachy/pink coloured pair from M2F

Elena Style - 7 For All Mankind Garden Party Jeans

IMG_0455.JPG

Hi guys, my name is Lena and I am going to be one of the product reviewers on Denimology.com. Very happy to join the team and share my opinions about our beloved jeans with you! Everything actually started with a pair that I got as a gift from my husband which turned out to be a real eye catcher, the 7 For All Mankind Garden Party Print Skinny.

When I first put these jeans on I couldn't help but think to myself, "Girl, you look good today!" What's even better is getting compliments from random people on the street or in the coffee shop. Feeling especially beautiful and sexy is so empowering! Sure, you know what I am talking about... The Garden Party Print Skinny is doing it for me every time I put them on! The print, which reminds me of an impressionist's painting, is maybe a little bit unexpected for a pair of jeans but that's what makes them so great! Beautiful color combinations of bright and vibrant flowers with more settled light-green background works simply wonderfully! Such color palette allows you to easily put together a very trendy outfit, using so "hot" now pink, turquoise and white; this I LOVE!

In talking about the fit, I have always loved The Skinny by 7 For All Mankind and this one is no exclusion. What can be better than jeans so slimming while curve hugging and comfortable?! The length is just right too which is awesome because alterations can be pain in the booty (which looks so good in these jeans, btw ☺). Fabric is actually very comfy; cotton with 2% spandex keeps shape very nicely but at the same time is quite soft and relatively light making them great for the warm weather of spring and summer.

The Garden Party Print Skinny seems to run a little bit big. I usually wear a size 25 in 7 For All Mankind but was able to squeeze into a size 24. They were a little bit snug at first but then stretched out just enough to be nice and comfortable. So if you decide to buy them don't hesitate to try a couple of sizes to find the perfect pair for you. And, the price of $189 for such fancy pants looks reasonable too.

Overall I think the Garden Party Print Skinny is a great choice for Spring and Summer; no better way to look and feel awesome than wearing them!

Hope you found my review useful and interesting, if you did then check out my style blog lookyourbestwithme.blogspot.com.

The Garden Party Skinny Jeans are available at 7 For All Mankind retail stores right now and will be available from 7forallmankind.com shortly.

Diesel - Fit Your Attitude For S/S 2012

Screen shot 2012-02-06 at 14.31.24.jpg

There are many companies out there that like to suggest that they were the first premium denim brand, but for my money the one that has the most legitimate claim to that title is probably Diesel. Back in the 1980s they were really the first brand to start pushing fashion-focused jeans on the world and subsequently changed the landscape for denim. Here we are years later and denim marketplace has changed beyond recognition, Diesel's 35th anniversary is approaching and to celebrate they have decided to relaunch their women's denim collection. From this month, if you go shopping at Diesel you will find that the range of jeans on offer has been filtered down to focus on the six most important styles that every woman should have in her wardrobe:

  • Grupee: Super-slim-fit jean with a super-skinny leg.
  • Getlegg: Slim-fit pair of jeans with skinny legs.
  • Bootzee: The perfect bootcut leg.
  • Flairlegg - 70's style flares.
  • Highkee: Straight leg with high waist.
  • Myguy: Boyfriend fit jeans.

The relaunch collection is titled "Fit Your Attitude" because Diesel's wish is that female consumers will choose a style which doesn't just fits their body shape perfectly, but also compliments their attitude of dressing as well. You can find the jeans in store from February, with new washes of each style being added throughout the year.

Ask Lisette - Your Questions About Denim

asklisette2.jpg

Those of you who are regular readers of Denimology already know about Denimology and about me. But for those of you who haven't "met" us yet, let me tell you a bit more.

Denimology is the premier source of information about, and sales of, denim for hundreds of thousands of readers all around the world. I am a hard core denimhead. I have been living and loving and dreaming in denim for most of my life. Being with Denimology gives me the amazing chance to meet many of the denim brands, the owners, designers and - well, people that make the denim world happen. I frequent trade shows here in NYC, and when I travel in Europe or South America, I visit the denim brands wherever I happen to be. I visit the showrooms, and I have become friends with many of the CEO's and designers. This gives me a connection to check out all kinds of jeans in all shapes and styles. Lastly, I work closely with Denimology's denim reviewers, which gives me even more insight into the jeans they are reviewing - in terms of fit, sizing and how they "wear". This is why I can modestly say (hmmmm, maybe not so modestly!), that I know almost all there is to know about denim!

Now let's talk about you. This column is mainly for the real denimheads among you that love denim - not only commercial denim, but those very hard to find, different styles and washes. It's for those of you who have questions concerning fashion jeans or about any brand or style. It's for those of you who wear and love jeans not because it's in style but because jeans are your identity. It's for those of you who want help to find that special pair of raw selvedge jeans you are looking for, or who want help to find a very specific hard core style that is not "fashionable" and that nobody seems to carry. And it's for those of you who have a thought to share with others like you - a thought that will reach the entire Denimology community.

This will be a regular column here on Denimology. Please, don't hesitate to post your questions in the comments section or email them to me and I will answer them ASAP. I am committed to denim and to all of you who care about denim and who want to know more about denim. My motto is: Live, love and dream denim. And my special thanks to Denimology for giving me this opportunity to interact more closely with our readers. :-)
