Goldsign F/W 13 Lookbook
Goldsign gives us a most versatile collection for this coming F/W 2013:
A bit ripped modernissimo and a bit nostalgic. Mr. Right, high waisted skinnies, and boyfriends are here to stay and an absolute staple. You cannot go (Mr.) wrong (pun intended!). Also very present are the flares, and the straight rolled up extremely high waisted jeans. Perfect solution for the cold winter days ahead - SIGH - when the last thing on earth is you wanting to show off your belly button :-((
Denim That Caught My Attention: James Twiggy Thigh High
Just recently, when I was working on my post about the James Jeans S/S 13 collection, this one pair of jeans just "grabbed" me - instant lust! Me, who is always, always looking for different skinny jeans that don't bore me to death and who feels like: "vive la difference" - I found these incredibly edgy and unusual jeans, the Twiggy Thigh High. I don't have to point out that the fit is impeccable (everybody that has tried on a pair of the Twiggy already knows that - just think back pockets that enhance your butt!), and the idea of mixing blue denim with black twill is an amazingly different approach. AND then they give me the long zipper, very visible on the outer leg - well, I am totally in love. The jeans are made of a heavier denim, so no spandex or jegging here. They have just the right amount of stretch without being too stretchy.
These James jeans are truly unique and eye catching, I can tell you that! Try pairing them with a short tuxedo jacket and pink pointy pumps for your night out. During the day I suggest you bottom out the cuffs on a pair of silver ASH wedge sneakers and a very sexy top and you will stand out even in a midtown New York crowd!
Hillary Duff In Paige
Hillary Duff was snapped leaving the Madeo Restaurant in West Hollywood, wearing her Paige Edgemont jeans in black and white. She paired them with some fun orange pointy pumps and a very revealing blackv-neck top. By the looks of her smiling face, her dinner date and/or her dinner must have been maaahvelous!!
Jaime King In Net-A-Porter Exclusive Paige Jeans
Jaime King Instagrammed a picture of herself in the Paige Edgemont skinny jeans in black and white. She paired these Net-A-Porter exclusive jeans with black velvet Rachel Zoe flats and Miu Miu sunglasses. I don't know about you, but I am seeing stripes EVERYWHERE, and I love this trend, because after a long winter of stark and dark colors, I am more than ready for some fun summer stripes!
Bluer Denim - A Kickstarter Project
We introduced you to Jeff Shafer's newest project, Bluer Denim, here last week.
BLUER DENIM is a transparently sourced American premium denim brand. They will build and distribute world-class, 100% Made-in-the-USA jeans and denim products exclusively online, at previously impossible prices. BLUER aspires to become a global leader in ethical business practices that include providing recycled and re-purposed denim to people in need, as well as strict corporate responsibility and a reduced environmental impact.
They chose America's oldest and most historic denim manufacturer, Cone Mills, with 120 years of experience making the finest American denim at their White Oak plant in Greensboro, North Carolina.
In designing their jeans and other denim pieces, no expense or detail was spared. BLUER leather patches are vegetable dyed English bridle leather handcrafted by Tanner Goods in Portland, OR. Every pair of jeans and every jacket has a unique serial number sewn into the garment that allows Bluer to identify when the product was sold, enabling them to honor their one year warranty. Their belt loops are tucked and the back pockets are fully lined. These are just a few of the many premium details featured on their products.
