My favourite denim ads from last year were without a doubt the Hudson Jeans campaign featuring Georgia May Jagger. So I am very pleased to see that she has returned for another set of ads for S/S 2010 which will undoubtedly help raise the denim brand's profile even further.

Lee Jeans Japan nabs James Dean for their current Legend campaign! That's a pretty impressive campaign to get considering Dean wore Lee Jeans and the red nylon jacket in Rebel Without a Cause 55 years ago!

Levi's continues to keep a healthy place in the busy denim market, with their contemporary line, Japanese denim, classic 501 and many collaborations there is something within the brand for everyone.

Last week I published one of the images from the new Uniqlo S/S ad campaign and now I have managed to get my hands on the full set. This campaign really goes to show that if you make kick-ass denim you can keep the ads simple and let the jeans do all the talking.
Do You Remember These Jeans Commercials?!!
I am laughing hysterically right now..... I was watching the Chic, Bonjour, Lee, Jordache and Levi's commercials of yesteryear. One of them spoke to me; The Chic jeans advert screams, "My last name is Kardashian!". These are the commercials that used to come on between mom's (leotard included) step aerobics program, Days of Our Lives and when the smurfs came on for me (Thank goodness!).
Yes, peeps. I'm talking 25 years ago. Corny voices over big booty Judy's wearing jeans made for a woman or what the cool kids wore is actually what made me fall so madly in love with the look of denim. These very commercials are what made pre-K me think that denim was sexy. I wanted to look just like those girls. They looked cool, beautiful, carefree....... of course, most of what I've said is totally laughable after watching these commercials.
