Industry Of All Nations - New Handmade Raw Denim
Last year we introduced you to the concept of Industry Of All Nations (I.O.A.N.). One of the most important facts of I.O.A.N. is that their denim is made with all organic cotton and natural dyes and without releasing any hazardous chemicals to the environment. For me this is a big issue, I love this!
For this year I.O.A.N. has created an amazing capsule collection all made of selvedge denim: "I.O.A.N. new Handmade Raw Denim". Don't you just go wild with the pink selvedge jeans here shown above! They so absolutely rock and yes, I would wear them as a chick, too, like a boyfriend - hello I.O.A.N.!! Oh, and to create these jeans, they are using the reverse of the selvedge fabric - what a rad idea!
3x1 By Color Block
I was at Barney's the other day checking out what's new in the denim department for spring and these 3x1 jeans made my nose start to tingle - a sign that I am seeing something really HOT and DIFFERENT! And I so trust my nose LOL!
Well, anyway, what I like about these jeans is that they have a very special "color blocking". The stripes of the different color are strategically placed where you want to hide some of your obvious "defects" - sorry, ladies, but if you are not Alessandra Ambrosio or even Madonna, you sure do have some little tiny bits of flabby skin or the likes to hide - go and tell me that I am wrong! ;-)
3x1 is founder Scott Morrison's third jean line, following Paper Denim & Cloth (1999) and Earnest Sewn (2004), so there is certainly no lack of experience there, right!
And if you go to Scott's store in Soho, on 15 Mercer Street, you can even have these jeans custom made just for you. Something I am definitely going to try out one of these days and I promise to tell how they came out!

The line consists of some really beautiful one-of-a-kind women's items created from handcrafted, quilted artisan blankets. Pieces of vintage blankets from India are interwoven with modern twills and chambrays and then over-dyed in indigo. Each garment tells a unique story, incorporating different patterns and textures so that no two are exactly alike.
The limited edition collection hits select Levi's® Stores and Levi.com this week and consists of a woven shirt, cropped pants, shift dress and reversible vest. These styles range in price from $148 to $198.

Very appropriate - Christmas and New Year for me (and probably for all of us!) are always synonymous with glitter, shimmer and sparkling. But I have pointed out several times already that I believe that shimmer is for nail polish and not for jeans, right!?
