Calvin Klein Jeans Fall 2010
Kevin Carrigan presented a collection he calls "tough chic looks" for Calvin Klein. Models wore all the Fall trends: glam jeans, denim-on-denim and black-on-black. Carrigan presented his new Calvin Klein X jean; skinny silhouettes for men and women with gold buttons in antiqued gold, indigo, and black washes.
Ksubi Spring/Summer 2010
Ksubi's sexy, street-ready summer 2010 collection was stripped-back, smart, and showed much desired denim. The brand's 10th anniversary show was held at Fox Studios in Sydney and was the final collection during Australian Fashion Week 2010.
Ksubi denim designer Rebecca Dawson says,
"It's very texture based, and obviously really denim based but we've pushed it to the limit. In terms of the colours, we knew we wanted it to be tight, so the palette is black, white and all shades of blue."
Australia's Marie Claire says the pieces we'll be lusting over soon include the criss-cross white jeans, denim shorts, cropped bodice and vest ensemble, and the floor-length black mesh and leather maxi-dress.
St Augustine Academy RTW 2010
At Austrailia Fashion Week, Saint Augustine Academy designer Alvin Manalo showed a collection of edgy vampire worthy, clean and tailored street wear. I can't say that I am a fan of the styling because all the models look so hideously ugly. But I will give props on the use of eye hooks as eyebrows.
John Richmond Menswear 2010
John Richmond stopped at the womens line with the grunge look for some odd reason. The mens collection is definitely bringing back the colored jeans ala the 90's. (see Cross Colours) I guess this is a new version of what's old is new? Muted cranberry, hazy acid grey and slick coated black denim for the gentleman this coming Fall 2010 season.
John Richmond Fall 2010 RTW
I would love for John Richmond's denim to receive some of the attention the Balmain denim pieces have garnered. Richmond denim comes in intricately stitched patterns, beautiful washes and pattern perfect distressing. John Richmond is definitely leaning toward bringing grunge back and he's making it pretty too.
