Twenty8Twelve F/W 2010 - London Fashion Week

It isn't always that an actress with great personal style can translate her taste to a clothing collection, yet Sienna Miller and sister Savannah have met this challenge again with their Fall/Winter collection presented at London Fashion Week. Denim continues to have a multitude of acid washes as skinny jeans seem to be here to stay, a denim vest continues to be a girls best friend this season casually worn with the most beautiful of dresses (and my favorite chunky heels). While many starlets venture into the crowded designer landscape the Twenty8Twelve line (along with the Olsen's Elizabeth and James line) would be just as good if the designers didn't merit a 24/7 paparazzi watch.

Commonwealth Utilities F/W 2010 - NYFW
At their Fall/Winter 2010 Show by Commonwealth Utilities the denim was for the most part dark, straight-leg and turned up far enough to show plenty of sock-less male ankle.
Michael Bastian F/W 2010 - NY Fashion Week
The Michael Bastian Fall/Winter 2010 Show at New York Fashion Week featured these four pairs of ripped jeans which were mostly paired with big Dr Marten boots, except the pair above which were worn with a slighty less macho pair of pink socks and some snakeskin slip-ons.
Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2010

Normally Marc Jacobs gives us a touch more denim in his Marc by Marc Jacobs diffusion line. But you won't hear me complaining considering the mass variety of interchangeable, wearable pieces in the new collection. I am loving the little black zipper dress and the patchwork jeans. They are young, funky and just sweet enough to leave me with a little street cred. I'd also like to give an honorable mention to the one piece working man fit below. Look pretty cool. It's the kind of thing that G-Star and Dickies have been doing perfectly for ages. Welcome to work wear Marc!

J Brand / Proenza Schouler Collaboration
The Proenza Schouler Fall/Winter 2010 Collection at New York Fashion Week contained their first ever pair of jeans which are a collaboration with J Brand. The high-waisted black/white and blue/white skinny jeans are made from 11oz Japanese denim which is printed, then hand-painted for extra texture and will be available in stores from mid-July.
A Better Look- Alexa Chung For Madewell

We showed you some shots from the launch of Alexa Chung For Madewell and I got my fingers on images from her first collaborative effort with Madewell. What do we think? Is Alexa Chung designer material?
I think it's been said perfectly by WWD- "It" girl Alexa Chung presented her first collaboration for Madewell on Monday night at the Bowery Hotel surrounded by a sea of friends and hipsters. The collection was as sweet as can be, but not in a saccharine kind of way. The designer showed looks with a Sixties schoolgirl vibe from cute Peter Pan-collared tea frocks and cool denim dresses to shrunken preppy blazers and high-waisted short shorts. According to Chung, it was an effortless venture.
