Diesel x Amber Le Bon for SKINZEE
When we think of Diesel, we don't really think of comfort, actually we couldn't care less about comfort when faced with Diesel's amazing jeans. They are almost always super super indecently (LOL) low waisted and we love it, even if we have to hold on to our jeans with both hands for dear life, while climbing some steps or when getting up from a chair!!
Not anymore! As we have told you before here already, Diesel has just come out with a higher waist style, the SKINZEE. And don't we just love it - now we can have our cake AND eat it, I mean, now we can wear our Diesel's AND stay decent!!
"Diesel's SS13 women's wear collection adds a new twist to the classic armor of the 21st century woman, adding sensuality and femininity without undermining her innate confidence. "Fit your attitude" is the core theme of the denim collection as SS13 captures the many attitudes of Diesel woman through iconic styles featuring the brand's distinctive treatments for the summer time. Great news is the introduction of a new style: the Skinzee. Taking the best from both the comfort world of jeggings and the stylish look of real 5-pocket denim, Skinzee's stretchy fabric adapts perfectly to the body and springs back to its original shape after use."
Available now at all KEY Diesel WHOLSALERS as well as in the Diesel stores all over the world.
Jack Spade X Cone Denim Collaboration
Being a huge fan of anything selvedge, I am delighted to post about this Jack Spade and Cone Denim collaboration. Selvedge denim is such a great way to make a pair of jeans your own, with your own body imprints and molded to fit every curve of your body.
Made exclusively in the USA on original 31-inch shuttle looms at Cone Denim's White Oak Plant, the five-piece line is available in dry selvage cotton denim and single wash selvage cotton denim.
Each pair features custom copper shank and nickel head buttons, custom airplane rivets and single-needle chain stitched seams in a traditional 5-pocket style
Available at Jack Spade retail stores and online.
Diesel x Edun Collaboration
What could be better than Diesel to make an awesome collaboration based on raw denim: A Diesel x Edun collaboration!
As you probably all have figured out by now, I am a staunch supporter and lover of raw denim, not that I don't love super treated and ripped and destroyed denim as well, but this is my "fashion" self. My "serious" self is totally dedicated to unadulterated denim. And here goes one of my most fave brands and hands it to me, Diesel Style LOL!
"Spring 2013 will see the launch of a collaboration that goes beyond fashion: Diesel and EDUN will collaborate on a denim collection entirely manufactured in Africa and made from the finest CCI cotton from Uganda.
The results are a denim based collection for men & women, consisting of 31 pieces, co-designed by Diesel+EDUN. The collection is entirely manufactured in Africa and made with the finest cotton from the Conservation Cotton Initiative Uganda (CCIU). The collection brings to life both brands' commitment to Africa.
Using raw, untreated denim, the collection is built around a reinterpretation of the four-pocket jean of the 70s popular on the streets of South Africa. References to Malian textile prints are echoed in the denim lining and across the jersey pieces in the collection. Embroidery details reference traditional Zulu weaving patterns, while the dresses feature Kenyan metalwork. Running through the whole collection are four unique symbols inspired by Dogon culture and designed to reflect the heart of the Diesel+EDUN collection."
You can find this collection in the Diesel stores and online.
Goldsign X J. Crew Collaboration
How appropriate! Goldsign - the fave brand of royalties and also hordes of non royals - pairs with J. Crew, the master of "Office" wear, as I call them. And you can see clearly what I mean in the image below: a classic pair of dark blue jeans, given a little edge by rolling them up at the ankle, paired with a J. Crew navy silk shirt. Almost ready to go to the office! Throw on a J. Crew blazer and here you go, dressed for a day at work, even if it's only on Fridays!
Jean Machine x Missoni Collaboration
Actually, just by looking superficially at these jeans, you can't really tell about why this is a Missoni collaboration. But then I saw the distinctive Missoni design label on the back of the jeans and looking real close up I noted the Missoni buttons. I just wish I had been able to see these items personally, then maybe I would have felt more and understood more about this collaboration. As this will be in stores only by the end of next year, I might be able to check these out more closely and keep you in the loop. Meantime, here is what Jean Machine tells us:
- Jean Machine, the contemporary men's denim brand, announces its first offering in partnership with Missoni, the iconic Italian fashion house. Both family-run businesses, and specialists in their product categories, the two companies make a natural fit.
The collaboration for Autumn-Winter 2013 will offer Jean Machine's signature JM2 straight leg jean in a clean blue Rinse wash with Missoni knitted pockets in the season's blue-camel color pallet. Also offered is the classic JM4 jacket, reworked to include a button out detachable Missoni zigzag felted wool waistcoat in a coordinating blue-camel knit.
Together they make an subtle, simple style statement. Jean Machine's concept is straightforward: great quality, well-cut men's jeans with an understated approach to style.
In the 1970s, Jean Machine was the definitive denim store on the King's Road in London, famous for providing the best-fitting jeans around. In 2008, it was re-launched as Jean Machine by Chloe Lonsdale, daughter of founder Tony, who wanted to deliver the ease and confidence of the original Jean Machine to a new, modern man.
Missoni, the iconic Italian fashion house, celebrates its 60th birthday this year. The men's A/W 2013 collection references the family's artisanal knitwear heritage while continuing its constant focus on innovating exclusive knitting techniques. This is represented in the unique Missoni fine loom knits only made in Sumirago Italy that form the core of the brand's tailored offering for A/W 2013. -
Levi's x Liberty Collaboration
When I saw these real cute pieces, the first thing that came to my mind was : Oh how cute, Levi's does Flower-Power!!! In these times of overdone printed jeans, this is such a refreshing and delicate option for us who do not want to be too obviously "printed".
