Is Yellow the 'Color of the Year'?

'Mimosa' has been declared color of the year by Pantone (PANTONE® 14-0848). They say: "In a time of economic uncertainty and political change, optimism is paramount and no other color expresses hope and reassurance more than yellow. The color yellow exemplifies the warmth and nurturing quality of the sun, properties we as humans are naturally drawn to for reassurance," explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. "Mimosa also speaks to enlightenment, as it is a hue that sparks imagination and innovation."

It's a lovely idea, and given that colored jeans are such big fashion news this season, we've decided to see if you agree that yellow jeans are best. I was curious to see more... and in color. And I got a punch of color! The highlight in the collection is the pink denim jean jacket. The jacket is perfect for a variety of looks; bordering on rustic, but abruptly halting on girlie. The rest of the denim pieces for this collection are solid staples every girl should have in her wardrobe. Not specifically unique, feeling a little bit country, a little bit boho, but beautiful nonetheless.

Pop culture superstar Beyoncé was spotted wearing a pair of J Brand "912 Zombie" Jeans along with a pair of Yves Saint Laurent Cage Boots for some shopping in Europe. Beyoncé is currently on tour with her "I AM..." World Tour in Vienna, Austria. I absolutely adore how she rolled the jeans up as if they were a boyfriend style jean. Hint, hint J Brand!
