Amanda Seyfried in Nobody Jeans

amanda_seyfried_3.jpg

I am surprised not to have seen more celebs out wearing red jeans during the festive season, after all no colour that says Xmas more than Santa Claus red. Amanda Seyfried did decide the holiday season was the time for some colour though, as she was snapped shopping at the the Art Material store in Los Angeles wearing red jeans by Australian brand Nobody.

Closed Does Neon

NeonNow-01.jpg

What can be more refreshing than beautiful bright colors on a drab dark short winter day? Closed definitely got this right in their capsule collection of neon colors. I can imagine how cool each of these Neons will work well tucked into high black boots and crowned with an oversized black sweater...or maybe, if you are a more fashion forward kind of person, why not mix the bright yellow jeans with a bright pink sweater! Attention guaranteed! ;-)

Aleks Style - Mother Denim The Looker Skinny

IMG_3559.jpg

Hi everyone! My name is Aleksandra and I am happy to be a new member of the Denimology team. Before I start let me tell you something about myself. My hometown is Tallinn (Estonia) but I've been living in London for the past few years. Now that I am thinking about it, it's hard to believe that this year it is going to be my 5th Christmas in London. While being a full-time Art History student at university I am also doing modelling and have my personal blog. Needless to say I am very keen on fashion and that is why I am really excited to be able to contribute to Denimology.

Luckily enough the first pair of jeans that I am about to review happened to be absolutely stunning. The Looker Skinny from Mother Denim in poppy red proved to be both beautiful and comfy. It was most certainly the rich colour that caught my eye when I first saw them at DonnaIda. I am not usually into coloured jeans because they can sometimes look a bit funny on me and can be difficult to style. However as soon as I got them home and tried in front of my mirror I realised I would have no trouble putting a look together. The jeans can be easily paired with either a nice simple top or a more interesting piece, I went for a second option and chose an animal print shirt.

Another great thing about these jeans is that they are really comfortable. And I mean that. Soft and stretchy they fit just perfect in all the right places. Despite the bright colour I think these jeans actually have a slimming effect, thanks to the stretchy material. Whilst the mix of cotton and lycocell also makes them much softer than standard denim.

Although I am not a huge fan of low-rise I was pleasantly surprised to find out these jeans are just about the right height to feel equally comfy when walking and (most importantly) sitting down.

I could spend a whole day describing the advantages of these jeans but I don't want to bore you. All I can say - it was a real pleasure trying out these Looker Skinnies. They are certainly statement jeans that could prove to be a real head-turner ☺

I do hope you enjoyed my first time on Denimology! If so, you are more than welcome to visit my personal blog (http://jeliza-rose.blogspot.com).

Leven Rambin In Frankie B

Leven_FrankieB_sm_3.jpg

When I first saw these photos my initial reaction was - I have no idea who this girl is but I want to find out... and once I have found out who she is I want to find out what jeans she is wearing. Well, it turns out she is an actress named Leven Rambin who has been doing small parts in TV shows such as CSI: Miami and One Tree Hill and who is about to make a step closer to the big time when she appears in the upcoming movie The Hunger Games. Having solved mystery No1 it was on to mystery No2. Flares have been big in 2011 and colour has been even bigger, so these dusty-peachy-pink flares are ticking all the right boxes. If you want to get yourself a pair then you will need to head over to RevolveClothing and get yourself some Frankie B Limited Edition Terra Cotta Bootcut Jeans which are available for $129.

Paige Denim Drops the Moniker + #PaigeBlue

Taylor-32.jpg

Taylor Davies of Eat, Sleep, Denim in her Paige Blue Verdugos

At the end of each New York Fashion Week, Coterie Trade Show commences. When I attended the show in September, the Paige crew handed me a package that contained everything I needed to know (I was sworn to secrecy until the time was right) about the official launch. Want the dish?
image002.jpg
1. The new Paige logo's purpose is to unify the men's and women's collections under one logo. It represent strength and modernity. This was evident in the booth as you arrived. Johnny Pinto, The Denim Guy, snapped it here.
2. The new logo is joined by the new Paige stamp. The stamp represents their attention to detail and will be present on hangtags and such. They gave out pocket book mirrors that resembled a stamp pad as shown in the image below.
3. If you didn't know already, the brand is dropping the monikers Paige Premium Denim and PPD, now going solely by the name, Paige, for both collections.
4. The brand launched a new color - Paige Blue! They gave us a pair of their new Paige Verdugo Jeggings in Paige Blue to try out. We love 'em! The color is now a staple for the brand. We've included a super cute image of blogger Taylor Davies of Eat, Sleep, Denim reviewing her pair.
