French Revue de Modes #16

Pairing high-end clothing with denim is a continued trend in the world of magazines editorials, perhaps an attempt to connect better with consumers who have opted to spend their money more wisely, or it could be an extension of denim permeating every aspect of our wardrobe. French Revue de Modes has taken the finest of today's denim looks including overalls by Jean Paul Gaultier, a studded bustier by Guess Jeans, Levi's jeans and Replay jeans and styled them with Lanvin, Jill Sander and Viktor and Rolf. Shot by Chadwick Tyler this look at a contemporary woman features many of the new faces in modeling that will have name recognition soon.

Levi's Winter 2010 Lookbook

I just got my first pair of Levi's (they are vintage Levi's shorts) and if this Lookbook for Winter 2010 from Levi's Australia is any indication of what Levi's has in store for us, well sign me up. Although it's hard to think about winter right now, I love the looks presented in this collection. The classic Levi's denim jacket (which has been seen on many celebs) is a constant with additions to the key pieces we expect to see from Levi's. Ripped skinny jeans, patched jeans, distressed skinnies for men it's all there. The original boyfriend jean is back and the styling is superb in these photos. Levi's offers something for everyone which is why they are the originator of the jeans we love so much!
Stephanie Pratt in Rag & Bone Denim Leggings

Stephanie Pratt and Lo Bosworth film scenes for The Hills at The Coral Tree. Stephanie was looking just right in her Rag & Bone Denim Leggings. I am head-over-heels for the stitching and the resulting cut which is much like a riding jodhpur.
When I go to NYC for Coterie next month (to bring you back the word on all the latest trends) I will definitely be hitting Barney's to buy a pair of these. I love Rag & Bone and Barney's has a great selection.
Ashley Greene in MiH Jeans

Wearing a Simdog Zipper Tank Top tucked into her high-waist MiH Marrakesh Jeans, adorable actress Ashley Greene makes her way into an office building in Los Angeles. What a beautiful girl..... siiiigh.
I an not wait until the next installment of The Twilight Saga comes out. Even though there were way too many cringe inducing scenes due to bad acting, the story is so excellent, the actors so addicting, that I am excited to see the continuation regardless!
Elegance Lies in Simplicity

I came upon this photo spread randomly looking at some of my favorite European blogs a bit back. I tried to identify its origins but came up empty (so please do comment if you know) that said, I think it's worthy of posting as it is beautifully shot and casually stunning. Featuring a plethora of denim and a stunning model (albeit a very thin model) it speaks to the title of this entry as elegance does lie in simplicity. I've been working on my photography skills of late and I will definitely draw inspiration in the future from this shoot both in terms of layout and dress.

Alice Dellal in No. #8

Punk, Model, Goddess Alice Dellal shines in this editorial for No. Magazine wearing denim pieces paired with her spectacular edgy fashion. Whether it's a denim Topshop jacket wrapped around her waist with a body suit and thigh-highs or a patriotic denim shirt thrown on top of a miniskirt, the New Zealand magazine hits the mark with this editorial. I've always loved her shaved head it set Dellal apart from the pact and was likely the wisest decision in her blooming career.
