Acne Pop Classic F/W 2010 Collection
The Fall/Winter 2010 men's lookbook from Acne's lower priced Pop Classics collection includes some patched jeans where the patches are almost as big as the jeans themselves. These remind me of the reinforced pants that carpet layers wear because they spend a lot of time on the knees.
Unholy Matrimony Fall/Winter 2010 Collection
Unholy Matrimony is a new label started by artist and designer Brett Westfal and here is a preview of their Fall/Winter 2010 Collection which features some seriously shredded post-apocalyptic denim. The pieces here remind me of the ragged clothes that Viggo Mortensen wore whilst struggling through the relentlessly grim movie The Road.
Neighborhood 2010 .1ST EX Series
The new .1ST EX Series line from Japanese brand Neighborhood is named The Magnificent Seven after the classic track by The Clash. The jeans and denim jacket also reference some of the slogans that The Clash used to stencil onto their clothes back in the early punk years. This punk/denim crossover is certainly less of a crappy, cynical, cash-in than the Sex Pistols/Vans jeans we featured recently.

DenimDebate.com is a really exciting and great looking new denim blog for men. The premise behind the site is that 25+ guys are going to spend a year wearing in a brand new pair of jeans of their choice. Throughout the year they will report back each month on how the denim is fairing. The contributors are an interesting cross section of bloggers, writers, musicians and shopkeepers who will be reporting on less well known brands such Studio D'Artisan, 3Sixteen, Tellason and Momotaro. I love the concept and will definetly be checking back regularly to see how each of the jeans progress.
