Elena Style - 7 For All Mankind Tropical Paradise

Summer is getting closer and closer and a fresh pair of floral jeans is a no brainer. With the huge assortment available out there you really need to look into your options and pick the one that is the best for you. In this case, the 7 For All Mankind Side Zip Cropped Skinny in Ecru Tropical Paradise may be the perfect choice; it definitely is for me ☺

The floral print is absolutely stunning! So vivid and photographically real it captures every shade and detail of the lush exotic flowers. Vibrant while still soft hues of vanilla, corals and greens mix together into a beautiful and feminine colorful palette that will complement both day and night looks.

The touch of gold hardware and side zippers add a modern as well as glamorous twist to the pant. The Cropped Skinny is obviously just a shorter (27" inseam) version of the regular 7 For All Mankind Skinny (30" inseam) which I personally love to wear and review ☺ For those who haven't read any of my previous posts, this fit is the brand's skinniest one and features a slim silhouette from the very top to the very bottom. Medium rise on the front (6.75") and a higher back rise (11.25") ensure a flattering while still sexy look.

There are a few interesting aspects to the fabric of these jeans. First of all, it is not indigo but ecru denim that was chosen to maintain the crispness and brightness of the colors. The content of the denim is also unusual as it is 77% cotton/21% polyester/2% spandex. This lightweight (only 7.2 oz.!) material is very stretchy and provides a close to the skin fit as well as great recovery. Soft on the inside, these jeans are super smooth and silky on the outside and have a beautiful glossy finish on the surface.

The 7 For All Mankind Side Zip Cropped Skinny in EcruTropical Paradise is a really great pair of jeans for the upcoming warm weather. Besides being versatile and super easy to outfit they are also very pretty and chic. Plus they are an ideal way to incorporate this season's biggest trend into your everyday wardrobe.

Jen Style - 7 For All Mankind Vintage 7 Collection

DSC01825 (1).jpg

This week I am excited to share with you a denim review featuring 7 For All Mankind's The Skinny in Authentic Oceanside. Let me start out by saying that these jeans are from 7 For All Mankind's Vintage 7 Collection, and once I read "vintage" on the tag, I knew I'd be a fan. For those of you that are unfamiliar with my personal blog, Belle de Couture, I am a vintage fanatic and I feature vintage clothing on my blog quite regularly - so, you can understand the excitement I had with this vintage-esque style. Lately I've been reviewing some stand-out denim on Denimology. A funky print, a wax-like coating -- so I was ready to change things up a bit and review a classic pair of denim. You might look at these jeans and see an ordinary blue jean, but I have to tell you that these jeans quickly became a fave for me, and for a number of reasons.

For one, the wash and the distressing give off the perfect vintage vibe. The light blue wash is perfect for spring and summer styling, and the light fading is in all the right places. The jeans contain minimal holes, hand sanding, and grinding for that perfect worn-in look. I love how 7FAM didn't overdue it on the distressing. Some distressed styles have a tendency of looking sloppy, but 7FAM did this style the right way. Oh, and I can't forget to mention how the denim feels. The denim is ultra-soft! Exactly how you would imagine an old vintage pair of jeans to feel.

Now let's move on to another reason why I love these jeans - the fit. They are comprised of 98% cotton and 2% spandex. You wouldn't know by looking at them, but they contain 11.25 oz of stretch. 7FAM tends to run smaller than other denim brands, so instead of my usual 28, I went for a size 29. I was pleased with the overall fit, but if you prefer a more snug fit, I recommend keeping your usual size because the jeans did stretch out a bit. I actually prefer a looser fit with my skinnies, unless they are a legging style, so I was quite pleased with the overall fit of these jeans. They were very comfortably throughout a day's wear. I especially liked how they looked on my bum -- which is a quality that the brand never disappoints on.

"The skinny" is 7FAM's skinniest style of jean, and the skinny fit goes from hip to hem. The 8" front rise and 13" back rise ensures the jeans sit snug on the hip bones. The shorter inseam (30" to be exact) allows for a refined look (aka no bunching at the ankles). However, I decided to roll the ankles up a tad to show off my ankle strap heels.

I chose to style these jeans with a colorful button-down and some chic sandals, but the styling possibilities of these jeans are endless! For a fun day look, I would also style them with a gladiator sandal or trendy sneaker, paired with a graphic tee and a panama hat. For night I would style these jeans with a sequin top, a blazer, and some chic pumps. You really can't go wrong with this classic style of jean.

If you're a fan of the vintage inspired denim as much as I am, don't forget to check out some of their other amazing styles in the 7 For All Mankind Vintage 7 Collection.

Jen Style - Paige Denim Verdugo in Butterfly Print

DSC01608 (1).jpg

Hey loves! I'm back with some new denim to share with ya'll, and this time it's the Paige Verdugo Ultra Skinny Jeans in Butterfly Print. Let me start off by saying that I cannot say enough good things about the Paige brand. It is definitely one of my top faves! They are always on trend with their styles, and their fit is always perfection. Celebs are big fans of Paige as well - Anne Hathaway, Emily Van Camp, and Hilary Duff have all recently been photographed wearing the brand.

I own quite a few styles by Paige, and I must say that their printed denim is always fabulous. Last year I reviewed a fun tie dye styleand a rad paisley print. The compliments never stopped when I wore those eye-catching styles, and this style was no different!

I was eager to see what Paige was going to do as far as prints for Spring/Summer 2013, and I'm certainly not disappointed with what I've seen thus far. This butterfly print is youthful, yet I don't feel like I'm a 20 something trying to wear a teenager's jeans. With the print being black and white in color (another hot trend this spring), these jeans are actually quite versatile too. I could see them styled multiple ways for day and night.
When styling these jeans, I could've reached for a chic leather top in black, or even my trusty chambray shirt (you can never go wrong with a chambray shirt), but I really wanted to have fun with these jeans and give the look an extra pop. I chose this neon pink tee with this candy colored necklace by Jen Hoodenpyle. My overall look just screamed spring, wouldn't you agree?

Now let's talk about the fit. When it comes to skinny jeans, you really cannot go wrong with the Paige Verdugo Skinnies. The fit is amazing. Each Verdugo I own holds its shape throughout a day's wear (very important). The jeans hug my curves, but are still very comfortable. I don't know if Paige made any changes to this style recently, but the denim on this pair feels extra soft. I couldn't stop running my hands against them.

When it comes to determining the right fit, do keep in mind that these jeans run true to size. I wore a size 28 (a size I'm wearing in most brands right now) and was very pleased with the fit. The 9" front rise and the 13" back rise is perfect. It sat slightly below my hip bones. The jeans are cotton and elastane, giving them great stretch. The 31" inseam was just right for my height (I'm 5'10). I really couldn't have asked for a better fit.

If butterflies aren't your cup of tea, Paige has some other great prints this season, such as the Flea Market Floral (which I'll be reviewing on Denimology soon), the Klyie Crop in bicycle print, the Wild flower Batik, or Summer Night Batik. I had fun with these jeans and I'm looking forward to styling them other fun ways this summer.

What's your opinion of the butterfly print? Are you a fan? If so, how would you rock these jeans?
