Nylon Magazine 'Paris, je te aime'

Nylon_February_SG4.jpg

Nylon Magazine (which is my favorite magazine, website and youtube channel) brings us new takes on traditional looks with models Barbara di Creddo and Wanessa Milhomem in Paris. Pairing high end pieces with denim gives a fresh, young inspiration look at street style. Diesel shorts (the shot with folded boxers is such a cute look!), Gap & shorts and an APC shirt tied around the waist look casually fashionable when taking the Parisian city by storm.

Over the last 12 months personal style blogs have become big news in the fashion media, as well as being some of my favourite reads. This week's featured outfits come courtesy of TheHautePursuit, Cats & Dogs, BleedForFashion and DulceIda. Denim Brands on Twitter

Levi's_525 jeans_Twitter_SG.jpg

One of my favorite people to follow on Twitter (besides Denimology of course) is Gareth known as Levisguy. He keeps his fanbase up to date on photoshoots, collaborations, special offers and the occasional giveaway! I love this picture from the lates Levi's shoot by Ryan McGinley who is behind the "Go Forth" campaign. There is an ethereal quality to his shots and I find this one stunning, maybe it's the Los Angeles rain coming down...Twitter and Facebook are such great ways for brands to connect with their fans and have a direct dialogue.

Follow your favorite brands on Twitter be it Frankie B., Work Custom Jeans, Paige Premium Denim, Citizens of Humanity, The Gap, MIH Jeans and lastly one of my absolute favorite brands from head to toe Hellz-Bellz who not only make knock out denim and the greatest t-shirts but have the greatest co-branding on the planet! Keep your eyes out for the Vans/Hellz leather hightops, this is the first women's brand that Vans collaborated with!

Star Spangled Denim

I have been predicting big things for patched-up denim for a while now and today I came across the most incredible pair at the personal style blog Queen Jane Approximately. Apparently these jeans originally belonged the model's father and each time they wore into a hole her mother would fix them by applying a patch in the shape of a star. Over the years the jeans have evolved into a one of a kind piece of vintage denim that has now been passed down to the daughter - lucky girl.

Denimology Named in Top 3 Fashion Blogs

denimology-logo-small.jpg

What an honor! Denimology, as well as our friends at PurseBlog and Hypebeast have been named as the three most influential fashion blogs on the web! This is according to Konector's latest report, the Top 50 Fashion Blogs and Bloggers, which is designed for fashion companies who are using, or thinking of using, blogs and social networks to promote their brands.

According to Konector, "Due to fashion's visual nature, many of the leading blogs rely more on quality photos than content," says Norval. "Sites like The Sartorialist, Stil in Berlin and Style/Clicker use photos of everyday people, while Denimology includes celebrity photos to great effect. However the blogs with the most devoted following are those where the bloggers model their own style. Good examples of this are Jane Aldridge from Sea of Shoes, Karla Deras from Karla's Closet and Jessica Schroeder from What I Wore."

Thanks to you, the Denimology readers, for putting us at the top of the list of influential fashion blogs!
