Men's Denim Reviewer Wanted
We are looking for someone to join our reviewing team and help us road test the best in men's denim. You need to be passionate about your denim, have great style, know how to take good photographs of yourself (or have access to someone else that can do it for you) and be able to write interesting and informative copy. Antidote Magazine - The Denim Issue
Antidote is a new magazine that will be hitting the newsstands on November 15th. Each issue will be based around a theme and for the first issue they have wisely chosen denim. The magazine will feature articles on "denim's unique history, the stages of manufacturing, the economic/social aspect of denim and jeans as a popular symbol of freedom and emancipation" along with some rather tasty imagery (shown here).
Levi's Launches Spring / Summer 2011
Levi's launched its Spring/Summer 2011 collection last night with a party held in Soho, New York City, featuring British band The Duke Spirit. Amid drinks and food served in an atmosphere of, like, "we don't want winter, we want summer NOW", the models posed on a podium giving us all a great look at the new collection. We'll be reviewing the entire lookbook here on Denimology as soon as it is available, but meanwhile, here are my impressions.
Guys, rejoice! After all those times when we women robbed you of your jeans (the famous ex-future- current boyfriend jeans), now you have your chance for revenge: the ex-girlfriend jeans are here! Made with "tons" of stretch and super-super-skinny - jeggings for guys! Hello, Levi's? Are you listening? Can you please do those in a Curve ID for men! For women Levi's is showing a lot of slouchy fits and even harem pants. The skinnies continue, of course, but I didn't see any flares or high-waisted jeans. Lots of shorts for girls and cut-offs for guys - always a staple in our summer wardrobes.

Dead Jeans: Recyle Your Denim In A Phone Case
I don't know about you but I hate to throw away old jeans. There is something in me which just won't allow me to part with them, no matter what the condition. Well, now there is a way to put your old jeans to use so that they aren't just gathering dust at the back of your wardrobe. If you send Dutch company Dead Jeans the pocket from an old pair of jeans they will fashion it into a case for you iPhone, Blackberry, etc. Although I have never had any use for phone cases myself, I do like the way they look, especially if you old jeans have a great design on the back pocket.
