My Hip T - Cover Your Assets

Here is another neat little invention that helps solve a jeans related problem. Now I think everyone appreciates that seeing a thong or excess of chubby tummy peaking out over a pair of low cut jeans is not a classy look. Well Hip-T is a T-shirt that is cut extra long to cover the potential exposed flesh and underwear and fit smoothly over your jeans. Anything that banishes whale-tale or muffin-top has got to be a good thing in my book.

A.P.C. - The Butler Did It

A.P.C.1.jpg

French label A.P.C. has put out a collection called "Butler Worn Out" they don't just feel like they've been worn in they actually have been worn in. In these economically challenged and "green" times A.P.C. has found a way to serve both needs by having people donate their broken-in jeans for a new crisp pair receiving a half-price discount on the new pair. The used pair will then be marked with the initials of its donor, washed, ironed 'inside and out' and resold.

Available at the A.P.C. store in Los Angeles (although they are selling out quickly) this is a trend that could catch on with other brands. Word is that other A.P.C. outlets will soon be recycling their jeans so keep a look out in your area.

Levi's Unbutton Your Beast

Levi's current "Live Unbuttoned" global marketing campaign has launched yet another viral element this week. "Unbutton Your Beast" is a site where you can send a multimedia message to friends via the unbuttoned crotch of a pair of Levi's jeans (see above). And Levi's (or at least the people that create these viral campaigns for them) even went to the effort of making a special message for Denimology, which was rather nice of them.
