Dirty Denim On Sundance Channel

The Sundance Channel are have created a five part web series devoted to the denim industry called DIRTY DENIM. The series takes the interesting approach of considering denim as fashion's equivalent of the Wild West and the videos attempt to provide a glimpse into the cutthroat business located in the heart of the Los Angeles garment district.

The Runaways - First Look

The first stills and trailer for The Runaways is out and having followed the denim of stars Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart throughout filming, I have to say I'm more excited than ever to see this film! During production we saw Dakota wearing plenty of vintage Dittos and Levi's while Kristen spent most of the time filming in leather pants but made her way to and from the set in J Brand on a daily basis.

I played in an all girls band starting when I was 10 called Sweet Gone Sour, we used to do shows (I was the drummer) and we did a cover of Cherry Bomb; it's an amazing song. Come spring 2010, I will certainly be there to see Dakota and Kristen take on the iconic band, The Runaways.

Guess Jeans Spring/Summer 2010

Guess?_SG101.jpg

Last week in Los Angeles, Guess and Lucky Magazine joined forces to support Children's Action Network to help thousands of foster children living in the United States. November happens to be National Foster Care Month and since my Mom has been a long supporter of foster care and adoption issues I was more than happy to go and also cover the story. Perspective being everything, there are over 350,000 children living in foster care in the United States and over 129,000 of those children are available to be adopted. Donned in Guess I had fun on the red carpet wearing their military denim jacket that I literally saw being pulled off the racks and enjoyed meeting the Guess PR team. I'm a huge fan of Guess ad campaigns, they have historically set the bar going back many years when they featured Claudia Schiffer as the face of the brand. Always sexy with a touch of rocker chick, the 2009 Fall/Winter campaign was one of my all time favorites (I posted the behind the scenes video below). The Spring/Summer 2010 collection features sexy skinny jeans and a touch of retro styling and we have a glimpse of the clothes (keep an eye out for the campaign). Keeping pace with the current trend of distressed denim and washes the new denim collection promises to keep you looking good no matter what you wear with it.

Lee Timeline Video

Anyone with an interest in vintage denim may like to check out Sartoria.com's video timeline of the history of Lee Jeans. Although it's a shame it stops at 1970 because Lee are still producing great jeans 40 years later.
