JFour Behind the Scenes Video
JFour is an Italian brand that I had kind of stumbled on while I was in Italy a week ago. Stumbled, because I was actually out in town with my sis and family to enjoy some Italian gelato and was not really thinking about denim (almost true hahahaha). So when I passed by this small store in the center of downtown Treviso, I was like - OMG what a cute store! I have to check this out! Their men's and women's jeans are really amazing, made of the best heavy weight Italian denim. I will be posting their lookbooks and more info about this brand here soon, so stay tuned!

TakeTwo Fall/Winter 2011 Video
Tree House Free House, this is the theme of the video from Italian brand TakeTwo, another brand I came across during my Italian trip. And they believe in a heavier weight denim for women as well as for men - must be some European thing....and being European myself, coincidentally or not, I kinda love wearing a heavier denim during winter. It is quite a mystery to me why so many American brands prefer a thinner and lighter weight denim for women even in winter.....must be some California thing ;-)!

I just love travelling throughout the world. But as a dyed-in-the-wool fashionista, nothing, that is, NIENTE, excites me as much as a visit to Italy. As soon as I finish enjoying a delicious Italian meal, my mind turns to fashion and to the interesting Italian brands of jeans. Dondup is one of them. If I had to point out one distinguishing feature of Dondup jeans, it would be the heavy weight premium denim they use in their manufacturing. Just like the contrast between real Italian pasta and that boxed stuff we get in the States, compare this to other brands that seem to believe in a lighter weight denim with Spandex (even for men!) and you will see what I mean.
