David Kahn S/S 2012 Video Lookbook
While I was at the Intermezzo trade show last week here in New York, I had the opportunity to meet David Kahn himself and check out his new collection right then and there.
David has become known for his amazing prints and, especially for his coated jeans which were the first ones of this kind I had ever seen. If you look closely at the very beginning of the video, you can see a pair of patchwork jeans which, in my opinion, is the "STAR" of the S/S 2012 collection. I asked David to get me more images of these jeans and I will post them the second they arrive. They are truly outstanding.
PRPS: For The Love Of Denim Video
This video, aptly named For the Love of Denim, shows Donwan Harrell, PRPS founder and designer, as he REALLY is: a passionate artist whose true love is design. He is so amazing! Each and every detail is taken into consideration when Donwan puts his pencil to a piece of paper. This is not about just designing a simple pair of jeans, it's about creating a new master-jean!
Go Check CLOSED Denim's New Site!
The new CLOSED denim website looks a little like this, except for one thing. It moves! Go have a peek (link here) and see what each of the stylishly dressed peeps in each of the tiny windows does. They all have something unique going on. Go look and see if you can find the girl drinking water. That one is my fave, I think! I'm smitten with it!
JC Penney's Denim Fashion Flash 1987
BWA HA HA HA! I am completely dying over this video. Watch it and see just how out of touch 80's fashion was with reality. So funny! As a child of the 80's, I never saw my two teenage sisters look like this... I can't stop laughing!

Joe's Jeans 55 Colors Short Film
Denim Therapy spotted this video and we'd thought we'd share as well!
From Denim Therapy:
We were wondering what Joe's Jeans were cooking up when we saw one of these train car colored denim ads in NYLON Magazine this month, and now we're privy to the short film campaign, shot by Tao Ruspoli, that follows girls in colored denim and their struggle to pick a pair of jeans amidst so many choices. Sound like your morning routine? Ours too.
The film summary on YouTube reads as follows:
"In this artistic short, two girls wearing Joe's colored denim--one in a vibrant color and the other in a softer shade--board a vintage train car. Once in the sleeper car, one passenger opens her suitcase displaying her brightly colored Joe's skinny jeans. She indecisively picks through her candy colored denim options as her fellow passenger looks on secretly coveting all of the bold color choices.Exhausted from going through her options, the passenger decides to take a rest amidst a bed of colored denim. The on-looking passenger seizes her opportunity and darts out with as many jeans as she can carry. After a short rest, she awakens tofind her denim missing and takes off in a colorful pursuit."
