Fashion East is a London-based nonprofit fashion talent incubator and support organisation founded by Lulu Kennedy in 2000. It helps emerging British designers develop their businesses and gain visibility through London Fashion Week.
Fashion East has been an important launchpad for designers who subsequently became major names in fashion. Martine Rose, Simone Rocha, Charlotte Knowles, Marques’Almeida, and Feng Chen Wang, Just to mention a few.
So when you see “Fashion East” attached to a London Fashion Week collection, it generally means the designer is an emerging talent being showcased through this program, rather than Fashion East being the designer or a conventional fashion label.
Fashion East Spring/Summer 2027 took place in London at the Palace x Nike skatespace at Manor Place. The showcase featured four designers: Mé Mé, Jacek Gleba, Goyagoma by Traicelene Pratt, and Louis Mayhew.
And there’s definitely denim in the lineup. The broader denim message is less about a single commercial jean shape and more about denim integrated into London’s experimental styling language. Jeans are paired with unusual tops, tailoring, and layered pieces rather than being treated as basic casualwear.
