One thing is clear: 2026 street style is NOT showing the death of baggy jeans. During Fashion Week in NYC and London, we could detect a strong denim signal. The interesting part is that the streets are not following one single silhouette. Baggy, low-rise, jorts, denim skirts, and very distressed jeans are all appearing.
Street looks were noticeably casual and denim-heavy. Show goers were wearing baggy jeans rolled down at the waist, denim skirts and jorts, with practical flats, loafers and sneakers replacing some of the more elaborate footwear normally associated with fashion week.
Also noticeable is that the new low-rise is usually loose rather than skinny – low-slung baggy jeans, relaxed straight legs and long/wide proportions.
